This beautiful house is located in the heart of one of London’s most vibrant districts, close to numerous bars, cafes and restaurants. Over the last few years, Haggerston and Dalston have become the go-to area for young creatives, artists and entrepreneurs, be it to work or to live.
At the same time, the neighbourhood is quiet, with many parks and green spaces, including the famous, historic De Beauvoir Square, situated almost next door. The canal is within a stone’s throw, allowing you to easily reach Angel or to head in the opposite direction, further East. Haggerston Overground station is only a few minutes walk away, and so are numerous bus stations, making it a short and convenient commute into the City, Canary Wharf as well as other parts of Central London.
The atmosphere of the local area is reflected in the tasteful decoration of this house, which includes colourful and quirky wall art by John Shed, nicely contrasting with the character of this traditional period home. The available double room is spacious, with high ceilings, and overlooks a pleasant back garden with fruit trees, flowers and a vegetable patch.
You will be sharing this charming home with three housemates – Jodie, a producer from New Zealand, Gwen, who arrived here a year ago from Sweden and works in the City, and Wylie, Jodie’s son, an adorable six and a half year old boy with a great sense of humour – he is in bed by 7pm but doesn’t mind any noise. The housemates enjoy the occasional dinner together or a glass of wine, and the garden is the perfect spot for social moments and barbecues with friends in Summer.
The house is well equipped and offers a shared living room and a separate kitchen. Amenities include Virgin TV, broadband, dishwasher and a washing machine. There are two additional toilets on top of the shared bathroom.
The rent of £800 pcm (£1,050 pcm for a couple) includes bills.
