Alex is the live-in landlady in this stunning, beautifully decorated and spacious house in Kensal Rise.
The large windows bring in a lot of light, the wooden floors provide a feeling of warmth, the shabby chic furniture contributes to the elegant, but relaxed atmosphere of the house, and the chandeliers add a romantic, retro style flair. The large, double aspect living room features a piano, a fireplace as well as a quiet corner.
A dedicated Art Room, brightened through its glass ceiling, is the perfect place to give full expression to one’s creative talent. Last but not least, the terraced garden, with its large glass tables and comfortable chairs, and even a brand new rectangle paddling pool offers many options to relax and chill.
The rooms in Alex’s home have different colour themes (grey, white) and are all cosy, well designed, with a comfortable bed and generous storage space. The house offers one bathroom and one wet room, the former decorated with green tiles an in a black and white art deco style; the latter with a sophisticated power shower, underfloor heating, and blue mosaic tiles. There is also a downstairs toilet, ideal for guests.
Alex shares the home with three happy, interesting and friendly housemates, as well as with their cat. The housemates all enjoy fine wine and food, art, and music. Whenever they have a spare room in their home, they look for people with compatible personalities – who share their slightly alternative, bohemian lifestyle, but are also respectful, considerate and tidy; in a nutshell, no 24 hour party people but nobody overly conventional either.
Kensal Rise is a charming, residential neighbourhood, with numerous shops, pubs and restaurants. Transport links are excellent, with many bus lines as well as underground and overground trains within easy reach.
All bills as well as cleaning of the common areas and a laundry service (without ironing) are included in the monthly rate, which starts at £1,000 pcm and varies depending on the room. A £200 supplement applies to couples.
